Village Guide · ~3 km away
Cortazzone is one of the more architecturally significant stops in this cluster. On a hill about a kilometre outside the main village stands the Church of San Secondo, an 11th-century Romanesque building with detailed bas-reliefs, widely regarded as one of the most important examples of medieval architecture in the Basso Monferrato. The village itself also has a castle and the parish church of San Lorenzo, which looks out over a panorama of vineyards.
