Our Own Cellars, at the Highest Point

The Bric del Vento winery sits at the highest panoramic point of Soglio — 360° views of the Monferrato hills, and Barbera d'Asti, Grignolino and grappa made from our own vineyards. The name itself tells you where the cellar is: "bric" is the Piedmontese word for a rounded hilltop, the kind of elevated point that catches the wind and sees the landscape in every direction without obstruction. The vineyards around the cellar are worked by the same family that manages the villa, which means the wine and the accommodation exist as parts of the same place rather than as separate enterprises that happen to share an address.

Guests staying at the villa are welcome to visit the cellar and taste directly — a cellar visit takes about an hour and includes a walk through the vineyard, a look at the ageing barrels and a tasting of the current vintages. Our Barbera d'Asti and Grignolino are available to take home, along with the estate grappa. Ask at the villa to arrange a visit during your stay; we will find a time that works with your plans for the day.
