Cantina Storica · DOC/DOCG
The Dezzani family has been making wine in Cocconato since the 1920s — one of the most established and respected names in Monferrato winemaking, and a producer that has been shaping the character of the territory's wines for a century. The range covers Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Grignolino d'Asti DOC, Moscato d'Asti DOCG and sparkling wines from estate and local-grower fruit, giving the cantina a breadth that allows it to represent the full character of the Astigiano appellation in a single visit. The Barbera is vinified in both steel and oak, producing styles that range from fresh and fruit-forward to structured and age-worthy.
The cellar is open for visits and tastings, and the family maintains the kind of welcoming approach to guests that comes from a long tradition of receiving visitors at the property. The winery is in Cocconato itself, making it a natural addition to any afternoon in the village — a tasting at Dezzani followed by a gelato at Alberto Marchetti is a sequence that requires very little planning and rewards generously. Fifteen minutes from Bric del Vento; tastings by appointment.
