Tour · All Seasons
Gentle routes through the UNESCO vineyard landscape of the Astigiano — from village to village, through vineyards, forests and timeless hilltop panoramas. The Monferrato is bicycle country: the roads are quiet, the gradients are manageable on the valley routes, and the distance between one village with a bar and the next is rarely more than a few kilometres. The landscape changes perceptibly as you move — from the open vine-covered ridges to the forested gullies, from the hilltop borgo to the valley floor — in a way that rewards the pace of a bicycle more than any faster form of travel.
We can suggest routes suited to your level and your preferences: easy valley loops from the villa for those who want a relaxed morning, moderate hill routes through Cocconato and Castiglione d'Asti for those who want a fuller day, or longer rides down to the Nizza Monferrato wine road for those who want to cover real ground. Bike hire can be arranged locally through Cocconato. Best April through October; helmets are required by Italian law.
